Star Jones is a best-selling author, celebrated attorney, fashion designer, business executive, and award-winning television personality who has made a lasting impact across media, law, and culture for over three decades. A true trailblazer, she has consistently used each phase of her multifaceted career to advocate for truth, uplift women, and champion the power of reinvention. Currently, Star serves as the host and judge of Divorce Court—the longest-running court show in television history. Her unique combination of candor, compassion, and legal expertise resonates with millions of viewers daily. Under her leadership, Divorce Court not only expanded its broadcast reach but also made history as the first daily court show to air live on YouTube, connecting with a new, digitally savvy generation.
In 2025, Star expanded her cultural influence with the launch of Star Jones Beauty—a glamorous beauty line created to give every woman her own version of the "Star Treatment." Star’s career began as a New York City homicide prosecutor before transitioning to television in the early '90s as a legal correspondent for NBC’s Today Show. A celebrated figure in both pop culture and legal commentary, she first captured national attention as one of the original co-hosts of ABC’s The View, where her candor, wit, and legal insight earned her a permanent place in the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame. She went on to build a legacy as a media maven and executive, serving as President of Girlfriend Entertainment Productions, Inc., and leading diversity-focused initiatives as former President and Board Member of Professional Diversity Network (NASDAQ: IPDN). Additionally, she co-founded the Instant Impact Group, a consultancy firm that helps organizations achieve transformational inclusion. A fierce advocate for equity and empowerment, Star is a founding member of the Black Women’s Leadership Collective (BWLC) and the visionary behind the Brown Girls Fundraising Collective (BGFC)—initiatives that mobilize political influence and philanthropic dollars in powerful ways.
After surviving open-heart surgery in 2010, Star became a dedicated advocate for heart health, particularly among women of color. For over a decade, she has served as the National Volunteer for the American Heart Association (AHA), for which she received the prestigious Voice of the Mission Award for her advocacy and leadership in heart health awareness.
A Presidential appointee, Star served as Chair of the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad under President Joe Biden from 2022 to 2024, championing cultural preservation and international diplomacy. She is also a proud life member and former international board member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

A trained biologist turned beauty visionary, Lauren followed her passion into the world of cosmetics, beginning her career as a consultant for prestigious global brands. Her artistry has since graced the faces of celebrities, political figures, and powerhouse women across industries.
Her work has been featured in national television broadcasts, best-selling magazines, and retail campaigns for major beauty retailers like Target and Ulta Beauty. Yet, Lauren’s heart has always remained with the women she met at the beauty counter—those everyday queens whose confidence she helped elevate with every brush stroke.
As the founder of Lauren Ashley Beauty (LAB) and the creative force behind many of Star Jones’ most iconic looks, Lauren brings her signature blend of glamour and precision to every Star Jones Beauty product.
